Following the successful formation of our second Beaver colony, we are planning to open a second Cub pack in January 2013. With just one pack, it is impossible for most young people on the Cub waiting list to join, as priority is given to Beavers moving up. By opening a second pack, we now hope to greatly reduce our waiting list.

There will be one pack meeting on Tuesdays, as currently, with the second pack meeting on Thursdays. Karen McEwan will continue to be the Akela for the Tuesday pack with Rani Roloff stepping up to be Akela of the Thursday pack.

Initially, each pack will use the same programme for weekly meetings, but this may change once things have settled down.

We plan for the packs to be known as Mowgli (Tuesdays) and Baloo (Thursdays). In case you were wondering, Baloo is the Bear from the Jungle Book.
