Telstar operates the programme and award scheme of the British Scout Association and is part of the Northern Europe District of BSO (British Scouts Overseas).Telstar is also a full member of the FNEL (Fédération Nationale des Eclaireurs et Eclaireuses du Luxembourg). Telstar is registered as a Luxembourg Charity (ASBL).
what we do – TAKE A LOOK …….
Telstar aims to provide an exciting programme of activities for young people aged 6-18 years of age designed to promote their development in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We offer an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult Leadership. See Fundamentals of Scouting
So, what do we actually do? Anything and everything! Activities are tailored to the respective age groups and include rock climbing, handicrafts, pioneering, hiking, safety training, environmental awareness, etc., etc. and, of course, camping. The sky’s the limit, literally! Past Scouts and Explorer Scouts have completed their Airman’s Badge, flown in a light aircraft and gone parachuting.
Three our Scouts and one Leader will represent the Group at the 25th World Jamboree in South Korea in August 2023, along with 40,000 Scouts from across the World.

Leaders and Helpers deliver active Scouting to our sections by planning and running meetings, camps and expeditions and encouraging our young people of all ages to achieve their potential.
Our Executive Committee represents parents and as well as supporting the Leaders and helpers in their role, also runs events to raise funds for the Group.
Our Scout Active Support (SAS) unit is intended for those who wish to support Scouting in a practical way but who do not wish to make a regular commitment.
