Beavers
Beaver Scouts are the youngest members of the Scouting family, aged 6 and 7, and are full of energy and curiosity. As the first section in the journey of Scouting, they are the foundation for developing values like friendship, teamwork, and community spirit. At Telstar, Beavers engage in a wide variety of fun activities that foster creativity, cooperation, and personal growth.
Recognizable in their grey sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making new friends, playing games, going on exciting visits, and learning how to help others. Their weekly meetings are filled with a blend of fun and educational activities, designed to teach important values like kindness, respect, and responsibility in a way that’s engaging and age-appropriate. Beavers also explore the outdoors, building a love for nature and adventure from an early age.
The Telstar Scout Group runs a single Beaver Colony called The Oak Colony, which meets every Tuesday from 16:30 to 17:45 at the FNEL HQ in Luxembourg (61a Rue de Treves, 2630 Luxembourg). The Colony is led by Ben Finney and a dedicated team of leaders who ensure that every session is filled with learning, laughter, and new experiences.
By participating in Beavers, young boys and girls begin their Scouting adventure in a nurturing environment where they are encouraged to try new things, build confidence, and develop valuable skills that will carry them through the next stages of Scouting and beyond.
